In order to get BAMS Admission at Adichunchanagiri Ayurveda Medical College Bangalore you need to meet the minimum required eligibility criteria prescribed by the university and governing authorities like CCIM New Delhi – Govt. of India.
Eligibility
You must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of general category and 40% marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
You should have attained the age of seventeen years (17) on or before the 31st December of the admission year in the first year of the course and not more than of twenty-five years (25) on or before the 31st December of the admission year of the course.
In the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and physically handicapped candidates, the upper age limit may be relaxed by five years (05).
There shall be a uniform entrance examination for all medical institutions at the undergraduate level, namely the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to undergraduate course in each academic year and shall be conducted by an authority designated by the Central Government.
It shall be necessary for you to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile (around 140 out of 720) in the ‘National Eligibility Entrance Test for undergraduate course’ held for the said academic year.
Admission Procedure
After the NEET results, all India common merit list as well as State-wise merit list of the eligible candidates would be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility Entrance Test and the candidates, within the respective categories, shall be admitted to undergraduate course from the said merit lists only.
The seat matrix for admission in the Government, Government-aided Institutions and Private Institutions shall be 15% for the All-India Quota and 85% for the States and Union Territories Quota.
The counselling for all admission to B.A.M.S Course for seats under All India Quota as well as States and Union Territories Quota for all Ayurveda Educational Institutions shall be conducted by the authority designated by the Central Government and State & Union Territories Authorities.
Note: As per prevalent norms all non-Karnataka students who seek admission for the BAMS should obtain the ‘ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE’ issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore (Karnataka).
